Orange Chicken


The first time I made this, I decided that I would bring some over to the neighbors cause I thought they might like it. The husband was still at work, so they waited to eat until he got home. When he got home finally, he thought they had ordered takeout. He even asked for it again, hehe.

This Recipe requires two other recipes to accompany it
Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets
and a flour mixture that the chicken nuggets will use, the one I have(Wendy Wark Flour Mix) posted on the site I think works well, but you are free to use your own.


2 lb. Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets
1 Tbs. Ginger
1 clove garlic
¼ tsp. crushed red pepper
2 Green onions
1 Tbs. Cooking wine
¼ c. water
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 ½ Tbs. Gluten Free soy sauce
5 Tbs. Sugar
5 Tbs. White Vinegar
1 Tbs. vegetable oil
1 Tbs. corn starch
1 Tbs. Oil for frying

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ make orange sauce, in a cup, mix soy sauce, water, vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, vegetable oil, cooking wine, and cornstarch.
2. Heat Wok over high heat for 30 seconds.
3. Add 1Tbsp oil for frying.
4. Stir fry Garlic and Ginger until fragrant (just a few seconds)
5. Add Crushed Red Pepper and Green Onions and stir fry for 30 seconds.
6. Add Sauce to wok and bring to a boil and let thicken.
7. Add chicken and mix till coated evenly.
